The evening will begin with Evensong at 19:00 followed by drinks in the Library at 19:30 and dinner in Big School at 20.15. Guest speaker Paul Schick (1981-83) will highlight the night.
Paul, who was due to speak at the OMK Dinner 2020 before it was cancelled due to the pandemic, is a librettist, lives in France and is currently Artistic and Executive Director of Real Time Opera, based in Oberlin, Ohio. He has written libretti for numerous new operatic works, and at the moment is involved in three collaborative projects. He has served on the directing staffs of leading companies, including the Wiener Staatsoper, Teatro alla Scala, Bayerische Staatsoper, and at the Salzburg Summer Festival. Paul has directed for stage, television and film. He is a member of Frog Peak Music, which publishes his scores. He holds a PhD in Musicology from Yale and has taught at several prestigious universities in the States as a professor of Musicology and of German Language and Literature.
We are also pleased to confirm that many former staff including Robin Bishop, who was housemaster during Paul's time, will be at the dinner.
Dinner tickers are £50 (OMKs and guests); £35 (former staff) and there is a concession rate of £25 (Class of 2017 and Class of 2020 pupils). Tickets include a drink on arrival, three course meal and half a bottle of wine at the table.
