We are deeply saddened to share the news that Archie Brew (Former Staff 1979-2000) has passed away.  Archie held the role of Director of Swimming from 1980 until 2000 during which time he achieved remarkable results and produced more than fifty international swimmers.

Excerpts from The Kelly College Chronicle at the time of his retirement said:

"Archie's impact on the College was immediate, not only for his style of coaching and attention to technical detail, but also for his love of sport. Every area of swimming Archie came across benefitted immensely from his enthusiasm and motivation...Archie has always had a very special way with people and harbours real talent for bringing out the very best performances within individuals of team.  As a coach he is respected the world over and it is rare that any one person can be praised by so many in the professional world of swimming....he won the hearts of Kelly, pupils and staff alike and will be remembered with affection, particularly for his dedication and his understanding approach...his enthusiasm to succeed hs been an inspiration to us all and he will be sadly missed."
