We are saddened to share that Dr Howard John Ball, Former Governor of Mount Kelly (1998-2020), passed away suddenly last month.

Born and educated in Zimbabwe, Howard was awarded the Anglo-American Open Scholarship to read Medicine at the University of Cape Town. He represented the University at marathon running, squash and volleyball.

Howard moved to the UK in 1987 before gaining a place on the General Practice vocational training scheme in Cornwall. He retired from his GP practice in Cornwall last year and was much-loved by all who knew him.

Howard is survived by his wife, Jacqui, and his three children who all attended Mount Kelly: Darcey (2004-2011), Sylvie (2008-2011) and Jonathan (2008-2015).
