What a fabulous way to spend a January Sunday! We welcomed many OMKs back for our annual OMK Ladies' Netball and OMK Men's Hockey matches and are already looking forward to next year.
First it was netball and the MK side got off to a strong start with the alumni team struggling to get a break. They soon warmed up though, and then it was neck and neck for most of the game with the MK girls leading 22-21 at half-time. The pace was fast and both sides fought hard ending in a 30-30 draw. It was a great way to celebrate Charlotte's 18th and Amity's 23rd birthdays!
Meanwhile, the OMK men gathered for their game against a strong MK side. Slightly short on players because of injury even before the start, the OMKs had to borrow a couple from the MK team to even things out. Year 10 pupil Harry deserves particular mention for playing in goal for the OMKs and making several fine saves. Two late goals gave the OMKs a 3-2 victory and much fun was had by all.
