Big School could have been mistaken for a swanky packed out nightclub last week for what was a fabulous evening of live music, the Mount Kelly Cabaret Night.  With three stages in use, the audience followed one fantastic act after another around the room under the ever so professional direction of OMK and Music Assistant, Tessa Hansford (2015-17).  Some of our most talented pupils and professional musicians performed, with the line up including the Martin Jenkins Trio, Rebecca Richards, Nikki Farris, and OMK Jonathan Scott, lead trumpet in Jools Holland's Rhythm & Blues Orchestra.

Jonathan himself enjoyed the evening immensely and said afterwards, "Friday was a pure joy...I thought the general musical standard was very high. I enjoyed playing again with Martin’s trio, and Dan on the saxophone. The school band was excellent...it was an honour to join them for the finale...I particularly enjoyed meeting and having a chat with the two young trumpet players."

We're already looking forward to next year!
