We are delighted to share that Year 13 pupil Charlotte has been accepted onto the Conway Merchant Navy Trust fully sponsored programme, where she will begin a three‑year BSc (Hons) in Nautical Science at Warsash Maritime Academy, Southampton Solent University, starting in September. 

Charlotte is one of only three candidates across the UK to receive this highly competitive scholarship. It is particularly significant for Mount Kelly as Charlotte becomes the first pupil to to do so in the 52 year history of Conway’s involvement with the School. 

We are extremely grateful to the Conway Merchant Navy Trust for their longstanding support, including their sponsorship of pupils undertaking their Gold Duke of Edinburgh residential sections on Tall Ships Youth Trust voyages. Charlotte completed one of these voyages last year, which inspired her to pursue a maritime career.
